Lear Quiz by the Numbers

As a student still needs to take this quiz, I couldn't hand them back, but here is a breakdown for you (the score is on focus).

Most students made it into the 20-22 range. 

If you were far below that, you'll want to study your first M/C tests more carefully and review the answers. 

We had a perfect score and a near perfect score with Jinsol and Nikki; congratulations! 

Also, your senior class is 3% ahead of last year's M.C. test takers.

5. Download Gummere's Translation of Beowulf from iBooks. Also download the other free edition of the text there, which will show the Old English.

HW: Read through the battle with Grendel; you will have no reading from the Elements this weekend. We will cover a section together next week.

M.C. Part I

Today we begin our first practice multiple choice exam.  We'll use the test to gauge where we are. 

1-10: Never seen anyone pass

11-20: Low; to earn a 3 will be very difficult

21-30: Average (26 is the average, generally)

31-40: High; you could probably pass today; work to get the 4

41+: Exceptional; you would pass today; a 4 is in reach; a 5 is always very hard
