Rogation Days: "To Ask"

Rogation Days: "To Ask"; in England, this was a traditional time to ask God for mercy on their lives and crops and such (Mon.-Wed.).  Priests would walk the perish and pray for blessing over all within.  For Mother's day, each of us chose something for mom, and we planted it.  My contributions were cut flowers indoors and an eastern cultivar red bud tree for the front...she loves the red bud.

A Good Family

We wonder what a husband and wife really are biblically...is submission really part of the equation?

Another student asked me what I thought about last week's speaker's parents leaving him at a school to pursue their mission.  Is that good?

Both treat the nature of the family, and my pastor is doing an excellent series on it.  So, I'll provide some good links for you.

Foxy Fox

My parents found a grey fox on their deck (we're remodeling) yesterday.  Their property overlooks the Bay Area.

Joining you in your CWP time: Here is a poem I wrote for my wife today to send with the picture.

A Hike with My Son

My sophomores read "The Wing of Dalua" by Hilare Belloc. It is a modern, first-person faery adventure in the Pyrenees Mountains. Belloc hiked througout Europe. Lucan and I went into the Ventana wilderness on Saturday.
