* Before you write your next essay, it is wise to consider tone more carefully.  Let's do that first, then return to our novels...and then watch a video and have a class party as we head into Oscar Wilde this week!

• Tone: Perrine's Poetry Ch. 10, pp. 880-898
• Review the first two poems together
• Of the first two poems, which one is darker in final tone and meaning?  How do you know? 

• Journal: Perrine's Poetry Chapter 10: Respond to Three Poems Total
• ONE: In Groups, Answer Questions for "Since There's No Help" 
• TWO, THREE: Homework: Answer questions for any two more (choose two poems that work in opposition...choose poems that we haven't studied together in class)
